TO to Seattle?

August 6, 2012

Terrell Owens hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2010 season and, despite his proclamations that he has recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is ready to play again, he has drawn little interestaround the league.

Today, though, he’ll get a look-see from the Seattle Seahawks and Coach Pete Carroll, who has been assessing available and experienced wide receivers. In 2010, Mike Williams returned after a two-year absence from the NFL. On Sunday, the team created a vacancy when it cut Antonio Bryant after 10 days. Last week, the team signed Braylon Edwards.

At 38, Owens has had a tough time of it since he last starred in the NFL and the “T.Ocho Show.” He had anterior cruciate ligament surgery in April 2011 and has had personal and financial problems. Last October, he held a workout for NFL teams and none showed up. Earlier this year, he spent four months with the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League before being cut for a “lack of interest.”
